RMA worked with Feather + Lawry Designs on this award-winning bespoke 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom residential house in Toowoomba’sPrince Henry Heights. The building was designed with unique energy-efficient features to reduce the need for cooling in summer whilst maintaining heat in winter. The house is positioned to have an optimal percentage of glass facing North to eliminate the need for airconditioning in summer, whilst using concrete block walls and concrete floor for high thermal mass on the lower levels.
The roofing is made up of 100mm thick polystyrene panels that provide extra insulation whilst allowing for a clean and unique roof shape. All glass on the house is Veridian energy tech glass that is designed to naturally retain and insulate heat.
The house also features a 300kg internal lift, polished concrete floors and open living, dining and kitchen areas.
